Restaurants & Bars
keeping your customers comfortable
The problem
In the UK, the typical restaurant or bar often gets uncomfortably hot. Uncomfortable customers are bad for business and increasingly customers expect air conditioning to be fitted in restaurants. The many factors which contribute to the need for cooling often include :- high density of customers
- high lighting levels
- heat emissions from food servings
- ingress of hot air from kitchen areas
The solution
Where the restaurant has a suspended ceiling or other ceiling void, ceiling
cassette systems represent an effective and unobtrusive method of controlling
temperature.
Ceiling cassette indoor unit
Where no ceiling void is available (or for restaurants where cassette systems
may be considered to be too large) the choice of equipment will normally
be a high level wall mounted system.

High level wall mounted indoor unit
If aesthetics dictate that the air conditioning must be invisible to the
customer then a concealed ducted indoor unit may be installed as shown
below.
Typical costs
Whilst costs will vary dependant on circumstances, typical costs will often be
in the region of:From £50 per square metre for simple restaurant areas
